Matū

If you happen to be in search of a new top-tier steak spot, look no further than Matū. The Beverly Hills eatery offers an understated dining room with a compelling menu to tempt your tastebuds. With five courses that offer various cuts of New Zealand-grown wagyu beef from First Light, Matū is a steak haven. The tasting menu changes daily but the grilled ribeye, wood-grilled maitake mushrooms, and iceberg lettuce salad are highlights.

An ode to Parisian bistros, Walter and Margarita Manzke provides a welcoming setting in this subterranean space. Enjoy outstanding renditions of French classics from beef bourguignon to duck confit. It’s tres magnifique!

Merois

Location: 8430 Sunset Blvd. | West Hollywood

From the culinary king, Wolfgang Puck comes a new signature restaurant in Los Angeles. Merois has taken over the stunning penthouse of the Pendry West Hollywood. Take in unfettered views of LA and with Wolfgang’s signature blend of Asian and French cooking with locally sourced ingredients.

Crudo e Nudo

Location:2724 Main Street | Santa Monica

Chef Brian Bornemann and partner Leena Culhane provide a fresh daily mix of crudo that’s locally sourced AND sustainable. Likewise, enjoy a dish that’s lightly dressed with seasonal ingredients, making for a truly relaxing and healthy feast. Likewise, Crudo e Nudo also has other delicious seafood dishes like tuna toast and caviar nachos.

Fox and Farrow

Location: 1332 Hermosa Avenue | Hermosa Beach

New to the South Bay is Fox and Farrow. The restaurant promises “a Michelin-worthy plate with a speakeasy vibe” from chef Darren Weiss. On the menu, you’ll find tasty appetizers, along with hearty plates of pork ribs, signature salmon, and duck pasta. 

Tikka Tacos

Location: 1425 Ocean Front Walk, Venice

In SoCal, there’s no shortage of taco joints and plenty of room for delicious new additions. Most importantly, at Tikka Taco, chef Kamran Gil offers Desi flavors that create the ideal comfort food. An absolute must for your inner taco lover, whether it’s a dinner or lunch craving.

San Fernando Valley

Five on the Hill

Location: 555 Universal Hollywood Dr. | North Hollywood

Set atop the Hollywood Hills is chef Kee Yu’ sFive On The Hill. The menu includes delicious options like truffle garlic fries and roasted bone marrow. Above all, stop by for a drink accompanied by Yu’s complimentary starter of fire-roasted “drunken nuts”. The fresh take on a bar snack was inspired by Yu’s favorite childhood snack in Korea. 

Roadside Taco

Location: 10628 Ventura Blvd, Studio City

It’s a taqueria, bar, late-night hangout, AND San Fernando Valley taco spot. Roadside Taco offers an expansive patio, tacos, and cocktails right in the heart of Studio City. Enjoy menu items cochinita pibil, asada, and al pastor tacos with locally sourced ingredients. In addition, there’s even a selection of menu items that vegetarians will enjoy too!

Unwind

Location: 19100 Ventura Blvd suite n, Tarzana

Enjoy a revamped version of American bistro-style bites courtesy of Chef Marcel. Unwind in Tarzana specializes in boutique wines and sakes as well as craft cocktails if you seek to unwind with a beverage. Likewise, the food at Unwind will certainly do the trick as well!
