L.A. Pride in the Park

When: Chinatown

Where: June 11 

What: Make your way over to Chinatown for L.A. Pride in the Park. As Pride Month celebration continues throughout the city the likes of Christina Aguilera, Anitta, Chika, and more will take the stage at L.A. State Historic Park. The Christopher Street West-produced concert will feature two stages with all sorts of LGBTQ+ programming between them.

Where: June 11 – June 12

What: The Hollywood Bowl’s centennial season kicks off this weekend with a bang and free shows at both the Bowl and the Ford. Enjoy music by DJ Cut Chemist, percussionist Sheila E., singer Mon Laferte, singer-songwriter Ben Harper and a whole bunch more at this weekend-long event!

American Indian Arts Marketplace

When: June 11 – June 12 

Where: Griffith Park

What: The American Indian Arts Marketplace will bring art, athletics, music, food, dance, performances, and shopping to Griffith Park this weekend. Have fun at this weekend-long event which is the largest of its kind in Southern California. The festival will bring together more than 200 Native American artists (representing more than 40 tribes) its the annual showcase. 



The Lost Murals of Renaissance Rome + Judy Baca: Hitting the Wall

When: Westside

Where: Until September 4 

What: Take yourself back to the forgotten surroundings of the Romans with “The Lost Murals of Renaissance Rome”. See the familiar stately walls of Rome, once adorned with elaborate frescoes. From there find your way home with “Judy Baca: Hitting the Wall” which examines the design, painting, destruction, and restoration of the artist’s 1984 Olympics mural.

Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World

When: until August 8 

Where: Getty Villa

What: Remnants of architecture, religion, and court culture are on display at the Getty Villa. See this limited exhibit focused on the ancient Persian empires.

Montana Avenue Sidewalk Sale

When: June 11 

Where: Montana Avenue | Santa Monica

What: In the mood for shopping and freebies? Make your way over to Montana Avenue for its seasonal Sidewalk Sale. Shops up and down the street will have great deals and discounts for this one-day event. 



2022 California Watermelon Festival

Where: Hansen Dam Soccer Fields

What: The 2022 California Watermelon Festival is here! It’s the best yum and fun in the sun, featuring chilled all-you-can-eat watermelon slices. Don’t miss this delicious day of fresh fruit and watermelon-themed festivities. 

Pictionary in the Park

When: June 11 

Where: Brand Library & Art Center | Glendale 

What: Play outdoor Pictionary in the park while making new local friends. Enjoy some free coffee, sunshine, and socializing for this Saturday activity. Afterward, enjoy a venture into the Brand Library & Art Center to see the art exhibit on display.

Brewyard Art Festival

Where: 906 Western Ave | Glendale

What: The Brewyard Art Festival returns for its 4th year at this one-day-only event. Enjoy art, crafts, craft beer, music, and more. Brewyard Art Festival is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. 


Thousand Oaks Pop-Up Arts & Music Fest – Kali King

When: June 10 

Where: California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks

What: Add some arts and culture to your weekend plans with the Thousand Oaks Pop-up Arts & Music Fest! The June weekend festivities will include “pop-up” public performances at various locations around town. Locals are invited to bring their own blanket/chair, as well as food and drinks while you enjoy an evening of entertainment beneath the stars.

Ventura Beachfront Run Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K

Where: 668 E Harbor Blvd, Ventura

What: Enjoy a scenic course along the beautiful coastline at the Ventura Beachfront Run (1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run). The race will begin on the north side of the Ventura Pier, 668 Harbor Boulevard. 

Sun Sets Summer Concert Series at Calabasas Lake – DSB Journey Tribute
