Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind

What: The Broad celebrates the groundbreaking career of artist, musician, and activist Yoko Ono with Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind, her first solo museum exhibition in Southern California. Organized in collaboration with London’s Tate Modern, the exhibition features interactive works spanning seven decades, inviting visitors to explore themes of peace, creativity, and human connection. Highlights include Acorn Event (1968) and Bed Peace (1969), created with John Lennon, alongside Wish Trees for Los Angeles, an outdoor installation where guests can tie personal wishes to olive trees in the museum’s East West Bank Plaza.
The Outsiders

Off the Hook Seafood Festival

What: Santa Monica’s annual seafood festival returns to the iconic Santa Monica Pier with a special celebration honoring 100 years of Route 66. Guests can enjoy unlimited seafood, beer and wine tastings, live yacht rock performances, oyster-shucking and eating competitions, and carnival games. The festival will feature bites from local favorites, including Michael’s Santa Monica, Rustic Canyon, Calabra at Santa Monica Proper, and Pier Burger, with sweet treats from Levain Bakery and Sweet Rose Creamery. Continuing its commitment to sustainability, the event will eliminate single-use plastics while raising funds to support Heal the Bay.
Dark Harbor

What: Brave one of Southern California’s most atmospheric Halloween attractions when Dark Harbor returns to the historic RMS Queen Mary for its 13th anniversary. The haunted experience transforms the ship and surrounding grounds with eerie mazes, roaming monsters, fog-filled corridors, carnival rides, secret speakeasies, and live entertainment. New this year is the “Shipwrecked: Brace for Impact” maze, joining reimagined attractions inspired by the ocean liner’s storied past.
Fall Exhibitions Celebration at the Hammer

What: The Hammer Museum welcomes its fall exhibition season with a free after-hours celebration in its courtyard.
