Metro has announced that they will be providing free rides this holiday! The transit agency said it will waive the $1.75 fare for rides this Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Riders will be able to travel for free on Metro’s trains and buses in the evenings during these holiday dates.
According to Metro, providing free rides will “help LA County residents enjoy the holidays safely and without the hassle of driving.”
On December 24, Metro trains will run every 20 minutes between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. In addition, Metro’s Purple and Red line trains will run every 10 minutes between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m on New Year’s Eve. Also, Blue, Gold, Green, and Expo line trains will run every 12 minutes.
