Latest listing video by Rodeo Realty's Ben Bacal featured in Curbed LA

Rodeo Realty’s Ben Bacal is back with not one, but two elaborate short films that showcase the homes he is selling.

The real estate agent has made news again with his not-so-ordinary listing videos.

“Real estate agent Ben Bacal is known for giving his listings the Hollywood treatment,” said Curbed LA.

Curbed featured one of Bacal’s latest videos—a small dog living it up in an $18.5 million mansion.

In the short film, “Sherlock Bones” inherits the Hollywood Hills mansion and is seen enjoying the lavish lifestyle. In the end, it turns out it was all a dream. The Instagram famous corgi still lives at 1895 Rising Glen Road, but he is not the owner.

The listing video has also been featured in The Real Deal Los Angeles and Mansion Global.

“Never underestimate the appeal of cuteness when selling a house,” said the online site.

Bacal’s other property video involves action and suspense. The short film for 9233 Shallow Drive has a woman breaking into a $16,495,000 home and receiving a little help once she’s on the inside. Watch the video below.

Rodeo Realty's Sunset agent John Galich lists home of Director Jason Moore; former home of prominent actor Rock Hudson

American director Jason Moore, known for films such as Pitch Perfect (2012), Sisters (2015) and Broadway’s Avenue Q, is selling his Studio City home for $1,095,000. John Galich of Rodeo Realty has the listing, which has been featured in several sites such as The Hollywood Reporter, Realtor.com, Los Angeles Times, Variety, Curbed LA, and LAist.

The Mid-Century estate once belonged to the legendary Hollywood ‘heartthrob’ Rock Hudson. The prominent actor lived in the serene retreat from 1951 – 1955. He was photographed throughout the home and featured in Architectural Digest’s Hollywood at Home.

The 1,008 sq.ft. home was designed by Architect Ralph Bowerman in 1950. The stunning architecture is perched in the hills above Coldwater Canyon. Its private driveway leads up to a secluded 14,000 sq.ft. wooded lot that separates the house from the street and neighbors. The one bedroom, one bathroom property opens out to breathtaking gardens by a noted L.A. landscape designer and features multiple outdoor “living rooms” that make the grounds with canyon, treetop and city lights views truly magical. Additional features include wrap-around walls of glass, beautiful post and beam style, spectacular views and a skinny dip plunge pool.

Aside from films, Moore has also directed television episodes of Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill, Everwood and Brothers & Sisters. In 2004 he was nominated for Broadway’s Tony Award for Best Director.

Rodeo Realty’s Beverly Hills agent Ben Bacal in Curbed LA

Ben Bacal’s elaborate property short films are attracting a lot of attention.

Curbed Los Angeles has also written an article on the Rodeo Realty Beverly Hills agent and his not so straightforward video tours.

The article first mentions the short film for 6654 Emmet Terrace, which is listed by both Bacal and Rodeo Realty agent Jason Peteler.

“The film gives the house an unusually depressing backstory, but evidently it hasn’t deterred buyers,” said writer Elijah Chiland.

According to the article, Bacal says he has received several inquiries about the house, including one from singer and songwriter Justin Bieber.

Bacal’s video for his listing, 864 Stradella, is also an attention-grabber.

“The videos have apparently been successful enough that Bacal is now starting a new company called Roofshoot, which will help promote high quality promotional videos from Bacal and other brokers,” said Chiland.
