Rodeo Realty’s Randi Feilich recently appeared on HGTV’s season 154 episode 8 of House Hunters.

The episode titled “California Dreaming in San Diego” and recently aired on HGTV network. The segment focused on Randi assisting a Utah married couple, Cassia and Brian for the perfect SD home on  a $900,000 budget.  Through the course of the episode Randi shows the prospective buyers, a range of homes from oceanside to inland. Although the couple had many wishlist features, Randi still excelled in providing them listing options that met the couple’s Real Estate goals.

Weekend Events: Nov. 30th – Dec. 2nd

Have any plans for the weekend? There are plenty of things to do in and around Los Angeles. For instance, visit the LA Auto Show, enjoy a holiday screening put on by the Rooftop Cinema Club, or take a festive one mile train ride at Griffith Park! Friday Nov. 30th, 2018

1. November 29 – December 16:  Firstly, Canon PORTALS will be coming to Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Guests will enjoy photo-walks, workshops, and on-site camera experts. FREE

3. November 30 – December 9: View thousands of cars on display at the LA Auto Show. This event will take place at the LA Convention Center.

4. November 10 – January 6: Go to the outdoors holiday skating rink, the LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE’s Microsoft Square.

5. The Pershing Square Holiday Ice Rink is hosting The Silent Skate Party. Therefore, headphones will be provided to all skaters.

6. November 18 – January 6: Enjoy a pop up museum at Row DTLA. Fa La Land will have a variety of installations. This event is happening Tuesdays through Sundays. Look for discounted tickets. DISCOUNTED (via Goldstar)

7. Enjoy Silent Night, Silent Disco at FIGat7th. This event will feature three DJs curated by KCRW’s Anthony Valadez. Everyone is welcomed, however, donations of food and or new toys are required for entrance.

8. December 1 – 25: Experience a nighttime light attraction at Grand Park’s Winter Glow. The event will include 19 large scale installations by local artists. FREE

9. December 1 – 2: Also this weekend, Grand Central Market in DTLA will be turning into a holiday marketplace. In addition, ticketed workshops, live music and holiday inspired offerings from food hall vendors. Admission is free.

10. The Union Station Holiday Festival is hosting a pop-up artisan marketplace with live entertainment, activities for kids, food trucks, a craft beer garden, and plenty more! Most importantly, admission is free.

11. November 23 – January 6: Celebrate the holiday with Queen Mary Christmas. The Long Beach vessel will include an 80-foot Christmas tree and many holiday activities! Also, look out for discounted tickets. DISCOUNTED (via Goldstar)

12. November 15 – January 21: Pershing Square is bringing back the Bai Holiday Ice Rink. Enjoy a 7200 sq. ft. outdoor ice-skating experience. In addition to skating, other events will take place throughout the duration of the rink.

13. An interactive pop-up museum has arrived to Pasadena! The Foodie Space is a great place for those foodie photo-taker’s. For example, food-themed exhibits will include a giant bowl of phở, glitter fries, and more. The pop-up is open Tuesdays through Sundays.

14. View a holiday themed screening at the Rooftop Cinema Club. The venues will turn into a Winter Wonderland with many holiday decorations! Home Alone will be screening this weekend.

Sunday Dec. 2nd, 2018

15. Celebrate Hanukkah at the Skirball Cultural Center. There will be various Hanukkah lamps on display, dancing, musical performances, workshops and much more! So, double check for discounted tickets. DISCOUNTED (via Goldstar)

16. Enjoy a holiday show at The Walt Disney Concert Hall, an English Cathedral Christmas.  Also, L.A. Master Chorale will be performing both classic and modern tunes.

17. Want to learn more on Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques? Take the home cooking series, Japan House presents Japanese Food Lab. Attendees will learn how to make chakin sushi. Also, students will see a demonstration on how to use seasonal ingredients to make miso soup.

18. First Sunday of Every Month: Stop by The Regent in DTLA and check out The Rock and Roll Flea Market. The flea market will include 50 vendors. In addition, a brunch menu, two full bars, and a DJ will also be offered. FREE entrance.

19. December 2: The East Los Angeles Christmas Parade will go through Whittier Blvd with a variety of floats and bands. In addition, the event will also include food, games, live music, and much more. FREE

20. December 2: This weekend, The Original Farmers Market Annual Hanukkah Celebration will feature arts and crafts, live entertainment, a lighting ceremony and much more!

21.  November 3 – January 21: As a result of the holiday season, ICE at Santa Monica is returning with a 8,000 sq. ft. ice skating rink.

22. November 23 – December 23, December 26 – December 30: Lastly, get in the holiday spirit with a festive one mile ride, The Holiday Light Festival Train Ride at Griffith Park.

Stop at Tina Wakino’s Bazar, a mix of classic and expertly chosen pieces. The shop as been a Venice staple for more than 15 years with finds like Indigo-dyed textiles, furniture, jewelry, and other antique objets d’art.

Need a new pair of shades? Warby Parker’s West Coast flagship store is a beachy eyewear haven. Built in 1905 by the Abbot Kinney himself as part of his “Venice of America” plan, once wondered all the way through Venice Blvd. Registered as a Historic landmark in 1982, the canals reach is a bit shorter but the journey through is just as wonderful. Stroll along visitor friendly pathways of the luxury homes that line this Venice staple.

Beyond Baroque

Before your evening begins, a trip to Beyond Baroque is almost entirely necessary. The Arts Center is considered one of the most famous literary incubators in the country. Founded by George Dury in 1968, the center is housed in the former Venice City Hall building. The nonprofit public space is used to cultivate  and expand the public’s knowledge of newfound literary art. They do so through poetry, fiction, literature and art through cultural events and community interaction.

If your tuckered out on activities, consider your evening guide a much needed rest. Abbot Kinney is known for many things, and its cuisine truly pushes the threshold of being number one. From aforementioned go-to’s like Gjelina to celebrity hotspots like Scopa and The Butchers Daughter, your palette can do no wrong. We recommend stepping outside the norm and into the vegetable box to be exact.

Plant Food and Wine

Plant Food & Wine from Chef Matthew Kenney is a sleek vegan restaurant on the quit end of AK. And while you might say your no Vegan, to that we say it all depends on what you get. From the kimchi dumplings being almost too pretty to eat to the carrot soup being almost too good to not order three more rounds, you’ll leave plant-based satisfied.

Salt & Straw

Finish up on a sweet note at craft creamery Salt & Straw. The artisanal ice cream shop is a Portland transplant with an extensive menu boosting flavors both sinful and curious. Try the Almond brittle and Slated Ganache or go for true Cali style  with a scoop of Avocado Strawberry Sherbet. Can’t decide on just one? For $10 guest can have an ice cream flight of four flavors from the classic and seasonal menus.

Your Holiday Travel Guide

The best part of the holidays other than quality family time is the time to get away. While we love the sites and scenes in the city of stars, sometimes it’s nice to spend the festive season abroad. With that in mind we have rounded together the top destinations to jet off to between Hanukkah and the New Year, so pack your bags for the great Winter escape!

 

Mexico’s Pacific Coast

While Puerto Vallarta is always a guaranteed great time south of the border, the beach town of Sayulita delivers its own level of style. Just 20 miles south from the major resort area, this is plentiful of vintage board shops and hammock strung guest homes. Feel like splurging? In between beach shack margaritas and local bites are NYC and Parisian designers tucked into brightly painted boutiques. Your winter getaway awaits!!

Tbilisi, Georgia

While this destination may seem an unlikely choice for a winter get-away, it is an ideal spot for those looking to find a different skiing scene. While places like Aspen and Switzerland never disappoint, the same can be said for Tbilisi. With its jumble of colorful balconies, Art Nouveau facades and picturesque flea markets, its the perfect combination of Eurasian wonder.

Botswana

It’s the place where HRH Prince Harry swept nor HRH Duchess Megan off her feet. It is also one of the most extraordinary safari experiences you can find in this region of the South African Nation. The Okavango delta is overflowing in wildlife found throughout the areas protected park and game reserve. Nepal and Bhutan

As we promised, this is a list of destinations perfect to visit during the winter months, and the area of Nepal and Bhutan holds true to that promise. Then take your exploring to new heights by enjoying a helicopter ride to the top of The Taktsang Monastery. While India almost speaks for itself as a travel choice, this year marks a historic opportunity to visit. This year the country celebrates  150 years since the birth of Gandhi.
