Rodeo Realty's Beverly Hills agent Ben Bacal spotlighted by Inman for his "cinema immobilier"

bencinemaimmobilier

Inman News kicked-off its Monday by featuring Rodeo Realty’s Ben Bacal. The Beverly Hills agent is being highlighted for his narrative-style listing videos.

“…Bacal is not so much setting a standard as much as he’s creating a new genre,” said Inman.

Writer Britt Chester is calling the new genre “cinéma immobilier.”

“He’s trying to get the right eyes on his properties and it’s working,” said Chester. “His stunning footage from a Hillcrest Road property captured the interest of a foreign buyer who ended up purchasing the property.”

Inman recognizes Bacal for his success in using social media to spread the word for his properties, but it’s his next idea that is drawing even more attention—an app called RoofShoot.

[su_vimeo url=”https://vimeo.com/153952854″]

According to the article, the app allows agents to quickly upload personal videos for homebuyers. Through Roofshoot, agents can streamline the editing of listing videos with narrations, voice-overs and video tours of a home.

“It’s somewhat challenging the credentials of agents who might say they are familiar with a particular neighborhood by creating a platform for agents to prove it,” said Inman.

“I always tell agents if you’re not out there door-knocking and cold-calling or in social clubs or meeting people everyday, you need to be out there shooting evergreen content that lasts forever,” Bacal tells Inman.

Roofshoot is said to currently be in the beta testing phase and it’s expected to be released sometime in June.

Rodeo Realty’s Beverly Hills agent Roger Perry weighs in on Playboy mansion

rogerPlayboymansion2

What is the Playboy mansion worth without Hugh Hefner? That was the question many asked when the $200 million property was first put up for sale in January.

Now, almost three months later, Playboy Enterprises is reportedly exploring a sale as well. According to The Wall Street Journal, the parent company of Playboy magazine could fetch more than $500 million.

Realtor.com says the company could be sold off as a whole or split in separate parts. With the entire Playboy empire possibly put on the selling block, the question now is: What’s the Playboy mansion worth without Playboy?

“If I didn’t have the Playboy prestige, it would probably go for only between $60 million to $65 million,” said Rodeo Realty agent Roger Perry.

Realtor.com reached out to the Beverly Hills agent to hear his thoughts on the mansion.

“Playboy is always going to be attached to this house,” said Perry to Realtor.com. “It still has that cachet.”

Senior news editor Clare Trapasso says the mansion’s value will probably fall along with the Playboy brand, especially if the magazine company goes under.

“The name will still withstand, because Playboy has become part of our vocabulary,” Perry said. “But it won’t have the glamour and excitement it did back in its heyday.”

Celebrate The History Of Rodeo Drive At Rodeo De Los Caballos

Rodeo de los CaballosBecause of our company name we have a strong affection for Rodeo Drive and the history it represents. As part of the Beverly Hills Centennial celebration, there will be a special gathering commemorating the street’s significance. Before there was Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, there was Rodeo de las Aguas. To celebrate the street’s beginnings as a bridle path there will be an equestrian parade, the Gathering of the Horses, held on Sunday, October 13, 11:00 am on the 300 and 400 blocks of Rodeo Drive, between Santa Monica and Dayton Way.

The parade features the Wells Fargo Wagon and equestrian groups that have appeared in Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, the Beijing Olympics and the Tournament of Roses Parade with special appearances by Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca and the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band.
