Chef Saito has also brought on Takeshi Matsuzaki from Tama Sushi as his second in sliced-fish command.

Greater Los Angeles’s pizza moment continues with Roberta’s at the Platform project in Culver City. The famed Brooklyn pizza joint that counts Beyonce and Jay-Z as fans fired  out their popular East Coast menu. West Coast Roberta’s carries much the same menu as the original, with a lean on blistered pizzas as well as wood-fired vegetables, pasta, and cured meat. There’s room for lots of funky wines as well, and a full bar for cocktails to boot.

On the menu, expect to see shareable dishes such as chicken liver pate; pollen-dusted pork chops; and grilled snapper with fermented green tomato and roasted fennel. Craving pizza? Come try wood-fired specialties like the White Dynamite with ricotta, basil, garlic and Calabrian chili oil; or the Pixxa — a pie topped with mole rosso, squash blossom, Jersey ricotta and coriander flower. If you want to understand Asanebo, the sleek Japanese restaurant at the heart of Studio City’s sushi bar strip, you could do worse than to look at the tiny dish of chawanmushi there, the inevitable beginning to one of the long, multi-coursed omakase meals that are the restaurant’s reason for being. All Asanebo asks from you is an open mind, plus rather a lot of money. In exchange, you spend an hour or so in an elevated state of being.

Rodeo Realty’s Beverly Hills agent George Kahwaji listing Britney Spears’ former villa

The onetime home of American singer Britney Spears is on the market for $8.95 million. George Kahwaji of Rodeo Realty Beverly Hills is the listing agent. The home, which made headlines in the Los Angeles Times, is where Spears moved to in early 2007, according to the newspaper.

 

Located in the prestigious guard gated Summit of Beverly Hills, the house features a chandelier-topped foyer, a vaulted-ceiling living room, a formal dining area, a chef’s kitchen, and a family room. BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (October 10, 2018)-The Real Estate Guys are taking time to give back. This was showcased last week when Rodeo Realty’s Ken Marker, Corey Brown and Ed Dolce attended Autism Speaks Into the Blue Gala in support of client and friend Jeff Apoloff.

Apoloff, an Executive Producer for Apoloff Entertainment, Inc. and creator of  Fox’s “Beat Shazam” was this years Honoree of the annual philanthropic gala.

Held on October 4, 2018 at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, Jeff received the distinguished Honoree of the Year Award, for his dedication and service to the incredible cause that helps those affected by Autism.

Hosted by Corinne Foxx, attendees of the “Into The Blue” gala helped to raise thousands of dollars for Autism Speaks. Pink, Carey Hart, and Anna Lynn McCord were among some of the special guest in attendance along with a slew of other celebrities and philanthropists.

Past celebrity participants have been Freddie Highmore, Sarah McLachlan, Conan O’Brien, Diane Kruger, Molly Sims, Raphael Saadiq, JK Simmons, Rick Springfield, Kevin Frazier, Nikki Reed, Maria Menounos and Cirque de Soleil, among others.

One of the event highlights included a special performance by the Foo Fighter’s David Grohl. The Grammy Winning artist stepped in as the featured performer for the evening when it’s original musical guest Jaime Foxx had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. This was not the first time that Grohl lended his musical talents to Autism Speaks. In 2013 he headlined the non-profit groups Blue Jean Ball and has been a longtime supporter of the organization.

The evening also featured music by DJ Irie, a live performance by the glow-in-the-dark dance sensation iLuminate, an exciting dinner program and an exclusive celebrity fashion experience.

The event received sponsorship from  NBC, WME, Netflix and Variety among other known brands and industry leaders.

“Into the Blue” raises funds to support the mission of Autism Speaks. The event draws in over 250-300 attendees each year from across the entertainment, corporate and legal industries. 

Into the Blue Gala is one of the many ways in which Autism Speaks raises awareness. Throughout the year the non-profit organization host and participate in events that shed a blue light on their important cause.

Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus, Gerald’s Game) is on board as director and executive producer, while the cast is led by Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, McKenna Grace, and more.

The trailer evokes old-school horror movies like Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, so even though familiar faces like Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), Aunt Hilda (Lucy Davis), and Aunt Zelda (Miranda Otto) make appearances, this is going to be a totally different series than the one Melissa Joan Hart starred in years ago.

Forneris Farms is back again with a four-acre cornfield maze, weekend pony rides, live entertainment and, of course, an impressive selection of pumpkins. Tractor rides will take pumpkin patch goers on a narrated tour through the cornfields and around the farm. Kids can enjoy their own harvest haven by running through a hay bale mini maze, climbing the hay pyramid and getting wild in the giant pumpkin jumper (always a good outlet for the inevitable sugar rush). If you’re not stopping by the petting zoo, playing harvest-themed games for prizes or leading the quest for that perfect pumpkin, take advantage of the refreshments and solid people watching opportunities. Pony rides, the petting zoo and face painting are weekends only. Everything is cash only, but there is an ATM on site.
