Google Introduces eSignature Support for Docs and Drive
Google has announced native eSignature support for Docs and Drive, allowing users to easily request and affix signatures without leaving the platform. This comes after over a year of alpha testing, aiming to provide a seamless experience similar to competitors like Dropbox and Adobe Acrobat. The feature will display options to request full signatures or initials, set “date signed” to auto-fill and monitor the status of pending signatures. As of now, only Gmail users can respond to signature requests, with support for non-Gmail users anticipated later this year. While transitioning to beta, the feature will soon be accessible to Workspace individual subscribers, with limited access to other Workspace tiers.

You can now authenticate your Threads profile on Mastodon
Meta has introduced a feature allowing users to verify their Threads profile links on decentralized social media platforms, such as Mastodon. Although this doesn’t grant users the coveted blue checkmark on Threads, it does confirm the ownership of a Threads profile when linked on other platforms. This move signifies Meta’s effort to integrate with decentralized social media. Adam Mosseri, Instagram’s head, announced this update while highlighting other features, emphasizing the importance of supporting “rel=me” links for identity verification on platforms like Mastodon.
