Josh Flagg sells Lily Collins Weho Condo for $2.8 Million!

As multiple media publications have reported , Josh Flagg of Rodeo Realty has sold Actress Lily Collins Sierra Towers West Hollywood abode.

Representing both the buyer and the seller, Flagg recently closed on the Jack A. Charney- designed condominium. The sale received coverage in the LA Times, Variety and Architectural Digest.  The listing came up for sale in 2018 and boast 1,700 square feet of living space.

It is a tenth-floor corner unit one-bedroom, two bathroom with a private terrace that spans the length of the unit. Additional features include floor-to-ceiling windows, a wet bar and an updated kitchen with builtin seating. The master bedroom also includes a walk-in closet and office with the unit offering spectacular views of the DTLA cityscape.

Lily Collins is the daughter of musician Phil Collins and antique dealer Jill Tavellman. Collins is most known for her role on Amazons “The Las Tycoon” and can be seen in the upcoming Ted Bundy Biopic “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile” as well as BBC’s remake of “Les Mis”.

A Rodeo Guide to Moving and Packing

Moving can be stressful. From sorting through what stays and what goes to purchasing a heap of supplies, it’s a journey. Literally. But it does not always have to be. At Rodeo Realty we pride ourselves on making your home experience as seamless as possible. Thats why we’ve narrowed down your moving and packing essential tips! Read below for a helpful handful of moving tricks and click the link at the bottom for your moving checklist!

1. Don’t hesitate on ordering a-lot of boxes…because you never know

It is better safe then sorry! Rather then get the bare minimum and have to last minute track down more boxes, bulk up on extra boxes. It will save you that extra time you can use towards a well deserved glass of wine after all the packing is finished

2. Pack in all sizes

When picking out boxes, it is better to get a variety of sizes. You are likely to need more small and medium boxes rather then a heap of large ones. Grab a few wardrobe boxes, many medium and certainly a lot of small boxes.

3. Don’t forget the other moving supplies

Sure your all set on boxes but make sure you have enough tape to close them securely! More then what you think you will need is better then not enough. Make sure you grab packing paper and everything else you will need to . ensure your items are packed safely and securely.

4. Keep your fragile items safe

Group delicate items together and make sure they are labeled as fragile so your movers know which boxes need extra care and a secure space in the van

5. Paper packing

When packing you delicate items, avoid using newspaper as tit can stain and smear. Instead go for the real deal and pick up packing paper to save yourself the ink scrub down on your fine china.

6. Bundle Breakables

As you pack your dishes, put packing paper around each one, then wrap bundles of five or six together with more paper. Pack dishes on their sides and never flat. Make sure to use plenty of bunched-up paper as padding above and below. Cups and bowls can be placed inside one another with paper between and rapped three or four in a bundle.

7. Consider other items that will need special treatment

Plasma TVs require special wooden crates for shipping if you don’t have the original box and can be ruined if you lay them flat. If packing yourself, double box tour tv, setting the box containing the tv into another box that you’ve padded with packing paper

8. Label your boxes

This is an easy but often overlooked step. Label each box so you know whats in it and in what room it goes. This will make the unpacking process a breeze

9. Ditch the heavy load!

The heavier the item, the smaller the  box should be! It is much easier to carry heavier items when they’re in smaller boxes. Save the larger boxes for things that are lighter but hard to carry on their own. And of course never over pack a box!

10. No packing on moving day!

Take on the busy day with ease by making sure all your boxes are packed already. It is less stress ! This includes removed pictures from the walls beforehand.

11. Put heaver items on the bottom of boxes add lighter items on top.

If you are loading the truck yourself, it is better to have your boxes properly proportioned. Another tip is the pack heavier boxes first and toward the front the truck for balance.

12. Don’t leave empty spaces

Fill in the gaps with clothing , towels, or packing paper. Movers often wont move boxes they feel are loosely packed

Tell your movers which boxes you need first at your new home and they will load the moving truck accordingly

2. Keep your most important things with you

Don’t pack  jewelry or medication–keep these with you. You might need to access them on moving day and its nice for the movers if they know they done need to worry about keeping track if these small items.

3. Sort out the details ahead of time

Make sure you know where you movers can park. This is LA and we know how parking is. Visit the parking enforcement page head of your move in case you need to obtain a permit

4. Prep your furniture

Remove all heavy and breakable items from dressers and desks so they are easier to lift.

5. Moving fine art?

Ask your movers about special crating for you prized positions. Never wrap an oil painting in regular paper. For pictures that are framed behind glass., make an x with masking tape across the glass to strengthen it and hold it together if it shatters.

Rodeo Realty’s Richard Cure interviewed for being die-hard Los Angeles Rams fan

The Los Angeles Rams are heading to the Super Bowl! This after their 26-23 overtime victory in the NFC championship game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

As a result, news outlets in Los Angeles decided to interview die-hard Rams fans!  One fan being Rodeo Realty’s Richard Cure.

Richard, along with his family and neighbor, were interviewed by local news stations ABC7, CBS2, and KCAL9. In addition, the Ram-ly showed off their Rams apparel and spoke about the upcoming Super Bowl game.

Mary Masciotra, Richard’s neighbor, told the news stations she paid roughly $1,200 apiece for two tickets to the game! A better price if you compare that to the current price of about $3,000 for an individual ticket! Richard said he’s okay with dodging the ticket prices and watching the big game at home! However, Mary will head to Atlanta.

In conclusion, the Los Angeles Rams will be facing the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on February 3.

Making headlines this week is a property that sold to American rapper and songwriter, Wiz Khalifa. Rodeo Realty’s Ben Bacal and David Ferrugio had the listing, which sold for $3,400,000.

The Encino home is featured on TMZ, Los Angeles Times, Curbed, and many more publications and sites. The contemporary-style house has five bedrooms and 6.25 bathrooms. The new, ultra-modern smart home features a 9-foot pivot door that takes you to the grand foyer, floating stairs, and 24-foot-high ceilings. Further, the indoor/outdoor floor plan includes a fireplace, a wine bar, and a covered patio space that overlooks the pool and spa, along with the outdoor kitchen.

Beverly Hills’ Scott Goshorn donates 433 pounds of food to local food bank

In December, Rodeo Realty agent Scott Goshorn decided to start a holiday food drive to help the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

”We choose the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank because of its expansive channel of distribution,” said Executive Assistant to Goshorn, Jesús Rodriguez. “All the donations the food bank receives is disbursed to various organizations throughout Los Angeles County. Different homeless shelters, low-income families, working with 650 organizations, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank provides to more than 300,000 people monthly.”

Scott, along with his team, spent almost a month to prep reusable custom printed bags to hand out to the neighbors in Hollywood Hills. Tote bags were then dropped off at each door step, allowing residents to fill them with non-perishable food items.

After a few days, the bags were picked up from each home. In all, the team collected 433 lbs. of food donations—exceeding their expected goal!   

“Charity Week 2018 was a huge success,” said Goshorn. “Thanks to the amazing team who made this so impactful!”

Rodeo Realty’s Lonnie Mintz, Marc Tahler, and Rich Cure hold fundraising event for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

In December, Realtors Lonnie MintzMarc Tahler, and Rich Cure held a fundraising event to help Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The “Notice To Perform” band performed to a live audience at the Guitar Merchant in West Hills. Lonnie was on bass guitar, Marc Tahler on drums, Roger Martin on vocals and Rich Cure on guitar.

Lonnie and his band mates played rock favorites by Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Chuck Berry, Nirvana, and many more!

“This year for my birthday I wanted to do something extra special to help give back, as I am a recent cancer survivor, and it is amazing how an awful six letter word can change your perspective on life,” said Woodland Hills Realtor Lonnie Mintz.

Through attendee’s donations, they helped raise more than $1,850. Most importantly, contributions will help bring hope and healing to many families in Southern California and beyond.

In addition, Lonnie has received more donations since the event, including $5,000 from a good friend of his. The total amount raised so far is now $7,000, which has exceeded the $1,000 goal!

“I’ve always wholeheartedly believed that you have to give back to worthy organizations, but now more than ever, ” said Lonnie. “There are too many children diagnosed with cancer and they, along with their families, desperately need our help, support, funds and resources to fight and overcome this awful disease. My bandmates and I decided to help by playing a fundraising rock concert. On behalf of Marc, Rich and Roger, we are proud to support CHLA by helping raise funds for their cause and we want to extend our gratitude and a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us, donate to CHLA and have a super fun night in celebration of my birthday.”
