A contemporary-style estate in Camarillo has sold for a record $4 million. Rodeo Realty’s Michael Chez was the listing agent for the property, which sold for $101,000 over the asking price.
“In the Ventura County community, it’s the highest single-family home sale of the year and one of the priciest transactions historically,” said the Los Angeles Times in a recent article.
The 8,325-square-foot house is set behind gates in a golf course community. The property has 5 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, 30-foot ceilings, a pub and wine cellar, a media/theatre room, and a gym with a full bath and steam shower.
The state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen features two wide center islands and a breakfast nook. Outdoors, the entertainer’s back yard is highlighted a pool and a waterfall feature. A nearby guest/pool house holds a bedroom/game room, a full bath, and a complete outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
According to the LA Times, a roughly 9,100-square-foot house set the price record for Camarillo in the same enclave that sold in 2005 for $4.7 million. For the year, there have been five sales of $2 million or more recorded in the area.
