Cirque du Soleil: ‘Corteo’
When: March 23 – April 30, 2023
Where: Los Angeles
What: Corteo, a vibrant Cirque production, loosely depicts the afterlife of a clown. Following a short 2019 tour at the Forum, the show returns to L.A. for a significantly extended run at the Microsoft Theater. Despite its name, Corteo (meaning “procession” in Italian) is far from solemn, featuring exciting acts such as swinging chandeliers and bouncing beds.
Free Breakfast at Taco Bell x Yeastie Boys
When: March 24 – March 26
Where: Various Locations
What: Los Angeles’ most popular bagel truck for hypebeasts will offer a special breakfast menu in collaboration with Taco Bell for just one weekend, and it’s completely free for Angelenos (limited to one item per customer). The menu, allegedly in the works for years, will feature a breakfast burrito, Crunchwrap, quesadilla, and three distinct bagel sandwiches. Served 8am to 2pm at the following dates and locations:
- Friday in the Arts District (584 Mateo St)
- Saturday in Venice (1107 Abbot Kinney Blvd) and Silver Lake (3900 Sunset Blvd)
- Sunday in West Holywood (8420 Melrose Place) and Studio City (12103 Ventura Place)
Dynasty’s Quinquennial Quelebration: A Show and Party Situation

George Condo: People Are Strange

What: Even without any context, the strikingly unconventional and sizable paintings by neo-expressionist George Condo are undoubtedly a sight to behold. However, we are especially intrigued by their exhibition in Los Angeles (which pays homage to The Doors’ iconic song) as it signifies the inaugural showcase at Hauser & Wirth’s new West Hollywood location, formerly a vintage car showroom. This particular exhibit piques our curiosity due to its location in the Arts District and the gallery’s grand size.
Babies! at the Aquarium of the Pacific
When: Until April 30
Where: Aquarium of the Pacific | Long Beach
What: Dive into the vibrant world of sea babies at “Babies!”, a new exhibition from the Aquarium of the Pacific. Come admire miniature jellies and other tiny aquatic creatures, as well as learn their stories – which range from how they were born to how they are cared for by institution staff. Don’t forget to check out some furry friends too in the otter habitat!

Spring Spectacular at America’s Teaching Zoo in Moorpark

What: Spring Spectacular is America’s Teaching Zoo’s largest fundraising event of the year, with entertaining animal meet and greets all day. Spring Spectacular 2023 will take place the weekends of March 18-19 and 25-26 from 10 am to 5 pm. Main theater shows at 10:30 am, noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm; wildlife presentations at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm and creature features at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm.
Celebration of the Whales Festival at Channel Islands Harbor

What: The 24th Annual Celebration of the Whales Festival is planned for Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Channel Islands Harbor, 3350 Harbor Blvd, Oxnard. This year’s event will feature two new activities – a concert in the park and a community “paint a whale” mural project. In addition, there will be family-friendly activities, chalk art, shopping, a children’s fun zone, and more.
Simi Valley Police Department Public Safety Easter Parade

Where: Simi Valley
What: On Saturday, March 25, 2023, the Public Safety Easter Parade is set to occur from 10 am to 3 pm. The parade will commence on Simi Valley’s east side and conclude on the west end of town, passing by several local schools, parks, and neighborhoods. Choose a prime spot at one of these areas to witness emergency vehicles from Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura County Sheriff and Fire Department, CHP, Fish and Wildlife, and others!
