Disney Pride in Concert

Where: Disney Concert Hall | DTLA
What: Tune in to melodies from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Coco, Zootopia, and Wreck-It Ralph, along with a few choices from Disney parks, during this Pride month presentation. The performance is brought to you by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, taking place at Disney Hall.
KCRW Summer Nights
When: Until September 1
Where: Chinatown
What: Everyone’s cherished NPR member station contributes to a variety of summer concerts, and DJ sets at communal plazas and esteemed museums, and this summer’s agenda is especially robust. The series commences this Saturday with one of our crowd favorites: a late-night celebration at Chinatown Central Plaza.
Harry Potter in Concert
When: June 24
Where: Hollywood Bowl
What: The Hollywood Bowl is a pretty magical place to watch a movie—allow us to maybe even call it the Hogwarts of L.A.’s outdoor theaters—which makes it the perfect place for a series of special Harry Potter screenings and live scores. Watch the eighth and final film (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2) in this beloved series on a giant screen while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra performs every note from the movie’s whimsical score (originally penned by John Williams, but by this point in the series helmed by Alexandre Desplat).
Westside and Beach Communities Weekend Events | June 23 – June 25

What: Experience stunning hilltop sunsets and live music at the Getty’s free Saturday shows, starting with SPELLING. Arrive after 3 pm for lower parking fees, early exhibit visits, and beating the dinner rush!
The Venice Fest

What: Support local businesses at this Mar Vista celebration, which unites over 100 vendors, typically on a seasonal basis. An initiative of the Gym Venice and Shop Morpheus, this event spotlights artisans, various food options, and DJs along Venice Boulevard, stretching from Centinela Avenue to Grand View Boulevard.
The Friends Experience: The One Near Long Beach

What: Step inside recreations of classic Friends sets and pose in front of familiar costumes at this photo-friendly touring pop-up in Lakewood (Lakewood Center, 4661 Silva St).

Grand Views: The Immersive World of Panoramas
When: Glendale
Where: Until September 10
What: Experience the enchanting union of L.A.’s unique Velaslavasay Panorama and Glendale’s Forest Lawn Museum as they present an exhibition of striking large-scale paintings. This immersive display is categorized into three sections: the early history of panoramas, crucifixion panoramas, and panoramas representing Hollywood and Los Angeles.
Street Food Cinema

What: Combine dinner and a movie into one delightful package by trailing the food trucks. In the spring, summer, and fall, Street Food Cinema organizes a sequence of alfresco events featuring screenings of popular movies, an array of gourmet food trucks, and live performances from local bands. Some of these outdoor locales are dog-friendly, making it possible for your furry film fan to join the fun.
San Fernando Valley Pride

What: Don’t miss an unforgettable Pride event that will celebrate and honor the diversity and resilience of our LGBTQ+ community! The event will kick off with a march through the streets. After the march, we’ll continue the festivities with a fabulous block party featuring music, food, entertainment, art, and a resource fair.
Conejo Valley Weekend Events | June 23 – June 25
Camarillo Old Town Friday Night Cruise Night

Where: Old Town Camarillo
What: The Camarillo Old Town Friday Night Cruise is back for 2023 on the 4th Friday of the month from April through September from 4-7 p.m. Drive down Ventura Boulevard with your classic car between 4 pm -7 pm. Try some local takeout by supporting the Camarillo Old Town eateries with their pre-order and/or take-out options.
Santa Barbara Lavender Festival

Heritage Square Summer Concert Series in Oxnard

What: Oxnard’s Heritage Square Summer Concert Series returns in 2023 for another 10-week run. The concerts offer entertainment to suit every musical preference – styles range from Reggae to Big Band and from Latin Jazz to Rock.
