Los Angeles Weekend Events | November 17 – November 19 

The Great Los Angeles Walk

When: November 18 

Where: Griffith Park

What: The Great Los Angeles Walk, an annual event held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, challenges the stereotype that Los Angeles is not a walkable city. This free urban hike attracts hundreds of participants who traverse the city from one end to the other in about half a day. Participants have the flexibility to join or leave the walk at any point. While reservations are not mandatory, RSVPs are encouraged. This year, the walk features a unique loop starting at the bear statue in Griffith Park (5413 Los Feliz Blvd), covering areas like Los Feliz, Franklin, Fairfax, Pico, and Western, before returning to Griffith Park. For those with energy to spare, an additional hike up to the Observatory is an option.

L.A. Zoo Lights

When: November 17, 2023 – January 7, 2024 

Where: L.A. Zoo

What: This holiday season, the L.A. Zoo will extend its hours into the evening on most nights through January, presenting a charming twist on its luminous holiday tradition. For its 2023 edition, L.A. Zoo Lights will feature new sculptures and introduce “Winter Wildlands,” an area inspired by animals that thrive in snowy environments.

Renegade Craft Fair

Where: Chinatown

What: Renegade Craft Fair stands out as the premier event for crafters, known for its high-quality and contemporary indie craft offerings. Hosted in major cities across the country, Renegade focuses on local artisans, featuring hundreds of them in its marketplace. More than just a shopping destination, the fair includes DIY activities, classes, demos, free photo booths, and a variety of food trucks. Darker Waves Festival

Where: Huntington Beach 

What: Darker Waves is set to host a vibrant music event in Huntington Beach, featuring iconic ’80s new wave and post-punk bands. Hermosa for the Holidays

Where: Hermosa Beach

What: This festive event, reminiscent of a holiday version of Fiesta Hermosa, brings a seasonal transformation to the downtown area of the coastal city. Over the weekend, the celebration includes an open house featuring local retailers and a pop-up outdoor marketplace located on Pier Ave, between Valley Dr and Monterrey Dr. Additionally, there’s a carnival set up in Pier Plaza, adding to the holiday excitement.

WestEdge Design Fair

Shaping Gravity: Abstract Art Beyond the Picture Plane

Festival of the Trees

Moorpark College Dance Department “Speaking Movement” Fall Concert
