What: Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center is making history as it launches its 2024–2025 season. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, the groundbreaking Brooklyn-based dance company Urban Bush Women—renowned for amplifying the voices and stories of Black women—will become the first professional dance theatre company to perform at the Mark Taper Forum. The troupe will debut the West Coast premiere of SCAT!… The Complex Lives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar, a jazz-club love story set against the backdrop of the Great Migration.
