Mother’s Day is a week away, meaning by now you are either well prepared or not… For the sake of all mother’s we hope you have 1-800-Flowers on Speed Dial. To take away the dreaded where to go question, we have you covered. We have put together the best Mom-approved brunch options throughout L.A. so you don’t have. Spend less time stressing on where to eat and more time on whether Mom really needs another Pandora charm. Read on for our round-up!

Inn of the Seventh Ray

This hidden creekside gem in Topanga is humbly ideal. Book ahead as you likely won’t be the only one planning to visit this nature spot. Enjoy the fresh air alongside healthy food, relaxing music and renewing ambience.

Geoffrey’s Malibu

Driving down the PCH, you’ve likely passed by or visited this seaside spot. With perfect views of the pacific and gourmet dining options, Mother’s Day at Geoffreys is a no brainer. Make the coastal trek and treat mom to brunch with a side of ocean views.

The Tuck Room

While this may not come to mind as your first choice for Mom, it should be if your a “Mom-osa” fan. The glam-bar setting and menu created by Wolfgang Puck protege Sherry Yard are rightfully indulgent. Enjoy Keto-friendly delicacies and perhaps a movie after since it’s next to the luxurious iPic theaters. The best part is you don’t have to rush on the drinks as they’re allowed inside the theater. Need we say mom-more?

Abigaile

While this hip Hermosa Beach Gastro-pub gives off the urban vibes, it’s rooftop brunch seeks to shake up that notion. Indulge in a meal that doesn’t require you to call in the babysitter with a laidback bite by the sea.

The Queen Mary

This Long Beach staple is also a staple on our holiday list. No matter the celebration, the Queen Mary always succeeds. With a decadent Mother’s Day brunch, Mom wont mind this champagne infused soiree.

Cliff’s Edge

The Silverlake eatery is a woodsy combination of relaxing ambience and delicious food. While the drive to East LA seems far for those not in East LA, it is more than worth it for a trip through the hipster locale.

Fred 62

Another favorite on the hipster list also happens to be a celeb hangout, if you’re into that sort of thing. Aside from the star studded patrons, is a family friendly and affordable spot in Los Feliz. Their brunch is a treat of comfort foods, healthy foods with a twist.

Descanso Gardens Brunch

Getting in for Brunch here is tougher without a reservation so we recommend planning ahead. Those familiar with the Descanso Gardens will understand why the botanical setting is so ideal. Allow Mom to be serenaded with live entertainment while enjoying Patina’s culinary treats in the Rose Garden. Brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained

The Huntington Library

Another Garden setting worth visiting on Mother’s Day is the famed Huntington Library. This Pasadena gem will host a harp-infused English Tea in the Rose Garden celebration along with a jazz brunch on the lawn. With acres of different botanical scenes, there is no shortage of sites and sips.

Pelican Hill Resort

An obvious choice for luxury pampering is the Pelican Hill Resort. Mom will ave a choice between not one but five dining options ranging from Cali fresh to Italian style as well as a poolside buffet. And since your already there, you have the option to take it up a notch by treating the lady of the day to some well-deserved Spa time.

Jimmy Heckenberg’s $35 Million Sale featured in Variety

Stunning Beverly Hills Mega-Mansion sells for $35 Million

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (April 24, 2019)- Rodeo Realty’s Jimmy Heckenberg recently closed sale on a stunning Gala Asher designed $35 Million Beverly Hills Mansion. A meticulously designed abode, the massive sale has already gone on to receive press. The striking 14,279-square-foot manor is considered the largest Real Estate sale for the City of Beverly Hills in 2019.

Asher, an Israeli mega-mansion developer had built the home in conjunction with the abodes prior owners, Dallas-based eyewear entrepreneur Dr. Doug Barnes. Completed in 2014, the estate was initially listed for a whopping $55 million.

Prior to the Barneses breaking ground on the lavish estate, stood a modest ranch-style residence, home to the late Dinah Shore until her passing. Then in 2005, Jodie Foster acquired the property, calling it home for six years before selling to the Dr. Barnes in 2011 for $8.3 Million.

Aside from the past and present owners is the grandeur design of this luxury residence. As Variety describes “Any NBA star will feel comfortable under the 25-foot ceilings, and the dazzling 80-foot-long computerized waterfall will leave guests’ jaws a-hangin’.”

Lest we not forget to mention the 7-bedroom abodes’ 3,200 square foot master suite. If one is wondering how vast that is, the average Americans living quarters in total are half that size.

This should come as no surprise for those familiar with Gala Asher’s portfolio of work, having built luxury homes for the likes of Kris Jenner, Billionaire Tom Gores and more. While we are unable to disclose any information regarding the buyer that Rodeo Realty’s Jimmy Heckenberg helped in securing the home for, we can acknowledge this as a sale that is truly astounding.

About Jimmy Heckenberg:

Jimmy Heckenberg is well recognized in Beverly Hills and the entire Westside for his top producing Heckenberg Realty Group Sales Team. Whether you are a first-time home buyer, existing home buyer or investor, Jimmy Heckenberg will make the buying and selling of real estate as cost effective as possible while maintaining the highest level of service. Rodeo Realty Ranks High on Real Trends The 500 List for 2018

Pulling in top rankings for the year, Rodeo Realty continues to emerge as a top producer in real estate.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (April 24, 2019)- This week REAL Trends released their highly anticipated “The 500 Residential Real Estate” list for 2018. Rodeo Realty held it’s place in some of the top rankings with the #17 spot for Average Sales Price and the #27 spot in both the Billionaires’ Club and the largest brokerages by volume.

Aptly titled “The 500”, the list is comprised of the leaders in residential real estate across the United States. The accolades are a true accomplishment during what was considered one of the tougher real estate quarters heading into the new year. With a total sales volume of $4,908,093,531 in 2018, Rodeo Realty showcased an impressive year-end average out of thousands of other competing brokerages.

“A record 1,757 firms qualified this year. The results-turned in by the firms on this year’s REAL Trends 500-showed that the nation’s leading realty firms outperformed the market, proving that size and leadership do matter.”

Rodeo Realty has received numerous awards through the years as a leader in residential real estate for Southern California. Being the largest single owned brokerage, company President and CEO Syd Leibovitch takes pride in each accolade received.

The REAL Trends 500, now in its 32nd year, remains the undisputed leader in ranking the performance of residential real estate firms. Due to the requirement of independent verification, the REAL Trends 500 is the trusted source for information about the performance of these firms.

These transactions represent over one-third of all new and resale transactions completed by brokers during the year. The 500-ranked brokers closed nearly 3.3 million home transactions with a value of nearly $1.2 trillion during 2018, up from $1.1 trillion in the calendar year 2017.

The 500 top firms by sides and volume will be published in REAL Trends’ acclaimed magazine. The magazine will also rank the Top Affiliated Firms, the Largest Independents, the Top Movers by Count and Percent, the Billionaires’ Club, the Up-and-Comers (firms that did not qualify for the 500 yet still closed 500 or more sides for the year), and other categories based on their analysis.

This year’s survey represents the most comprehensive collection of data assembled on the leaders of the residential brokerage industry. Numbers are documented by outside accounting firms and/or MLS reports.

“For several years, the REAL Trends 500 has gained market share,” says Steve Murray, president of REAL Trends. “In 2019, the REAL Trends 500 did it again—up 2.7 percent in 2018 against a national existing home sales factor which was down 3 to 4 percent. ”

Out and About: LA’s Best Scenic Drives

In this traffic consumed metropolis, one redeeming factor about having a car is the plethora of beautiful scenic drives, you can take in almost any direction to escape the frustrations of Los Angeles. There’s much to enjoy from the majestic coastlines to the awe-inspiring mountain ranges. So take some time this Earth day to appreciate the many scenic routes that meander through this wonderful state of ours. Below are some suggested ways you can take.

Palos Verdes Drive

A unique coastal experience, along the Palos Verdes Peninsula with beautiful cliffs, sandy beaches and tide-pools. The route is short but also easier to enjoy because it’s at a slower pace than the other scenic drives. Some suggested picturesque stops are Pointe Vicente Lighthouse, Wayfarer’s Chapel, the Vincent Thomas Bridge and the Korean Bell of Friendship at Angel’s Gate Park in San Pedro.

Pacific Coast Highway

The quintessential scenic route along the California coastline, spans the entire West Coast of the US, with nearly 650 miles of coastal views. The Pacific Coast Highway stretches from California’s northern border with Oregon all the way down to San Diego making it the longest road in California but is also considered one of the most scenic drives in the US. With non-stop coastal views, beach towns and piers, and panoramic vantage points from the various mountain ranges there are so many wonderful spots to pullover at and explore it just comes down to whatever tickles your curiosity. Beware California’s coast has led to portions of Highway 1 being closed for long periods of time. To avoid being re-routed further inland, be sure to check the current conditions before departing.

Angeles Crest Scenic Byway

An often-overlooked scenic drive because it is inland is the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway which runs through the San Gabriel mountain range all the way through the Angeles National Forest. Climbing up to almost 8,000 feet, the drive will take you through spectacular views of the Pomona Valley and the Mojave Desert. Be sure to pack a picnic, as there are plenty of areas to stop and enjoy lunch with your view, as well as several trailheads for running, hiking or climbing. The most popular is the San Gabriel Peak, an easy hike with views you’ll never forget. At the top of the summit, you can enjoy a 360 view of the surrounding area and neighborhoods of Pasadena or Glendale.
