Puppet Up! Uncensored
When: February 17 – February 20
Where: Jim Henson Studios
What: If the label “uncensored” wasn’t clear, be sure to keep the children away from this one. “Puppet Up! Uncensored” is a mix of puppetry and improvisation featuring top-notch puppeteers, music, jokes, and mischievousness. The show will hold a series of exclusive performances at the historic Jim Henson Company Lot in Hollywood, once home to Charlie Chaplin’s studio.
Entanglements: Louise Bonnet and Adam Silverman at Hollyhock House
When: February 16 – May 27, 2023
Where: Hollyhock House | Los Feliz
What: The century-old Frank Lloyd Wright structure has been adorned with paintings and drawings by Louise Bonnet and ceramics by Adam Silverman.
Mardi Gras at Farmers Market
When: February 18 – February 21, 2023
Where: Original Farmers Market | Fairfax
What: As it’s Mardi Gras weekend, you might be struggling to choose between tossing beads or playing fetch with your furry friend. However, you can do both at the original Farmers Market by joining their annual Mardi Gras celebration. The festivities commence at the Market Plaza with the Mutti Gras Pet Parade & Costume Contest, followed by the Mardi Gras Celebration on the West Patio, where live music will be playing (and returning on Fat Tuesday as well).
Westside and Beach Communities Weekend Events | February 17 – February 19, 2023
Frieze Los Angeles

Where: Santa Monica Airport
What: This weekend, the fourth edition of the New York art fair arrives in Los Angeles. Initially held in the unusual setting of the Paramount backlot and subsequently moving to a location adjacent to the Beverly Hilton, this year’s fair has chosen a site-specific tent in the southeastern area of the Santa Monica Airport.
The Venice Fest
When: February 18 June 24, 2023
Where: Venice Boulevard between Centinela Avenue and Grand View Boulevard
What: Discover and support local businesses at this Mar Vista celebration, where over 100 vendors gather once every season. Conceived by the Gym Venice and Shop Morpheus, the event features artisans, food, and DJs along Venice Boulevard, between Centinela Avenue and Grand View Boulevard.
Sounds of L.A.
When: Until March 19
Where: The Getty
What: Enjoy free concerts featuring emerging artists and established local musicians at the Getty’s music series, which presents a different band every weekend with two shows. The series will showcase Los Cenzontles and Los Originarios del Plan in February.
San Fernando Valley Weekend Events | February 17 – February 19, 2023
Bob Baker Marionette Theater: 60 Years of Joy & Wonder
When: Until March 16
Where: Glendale
What: To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater, the museum located on top of Forest Lawn’s Glendale cemetery is exhibiting a collection of approximately 100 historical artifacts, which includes puppets, concept art, archival photographs, and an animatronic band.
Black History Month Celebration

The Notebook Drive-In Movie Night
