7 Top Solar Light Decor Options for Your Yard | Home Tips

Landscape lighting has many benefits. From increasing the usability of an outdoor entertainment area and lighting a pathway for safer navigation to the front door to enhancing the appearance and ambiance and deterring thieves, outdoor lighting is an important part of any landscaping plan. Traditional outdoor lighting solutions mainly require electric cables or batteries. However, solar lights offer an easy-to-install and relatively maintenance-free option. Likewise, this makes them perfect in places like Southern California that see an abundance of sunlight for most of the year. Elegantly illuminate your yard with these seven terrific solar solutions:

Dekugaa Solar Light

Coming in a pack of eight, Dekugaa’s Solar Ground Lights provide a soft and subtle solar-lighting solution for along the edges of pathways, flowerbeds, and other outdoor features. Likewise, the in-ground LED disk lights are durable and waterproof and have in-built sensors for automatic functioning.

Frontgate Pro Series VI Solar Spotlight

For more intense targeted lighting, Frontgate’s Pro Series VI Solar Spotlight is ideal. Coming in a pack of two, the 60-lumen LED bulbs provide bright light where you need it the most. The large solar panel enables efficient charging on overcast days and the solar lights can provide up to ten hours of brightness. In addition, they are sturdy and easy to stake in the ground, and can also be re-positioned with ease.

Neporal Solar Butterfly Windchimes

Add a little fairytale-like magic to your yard with these enchanting color-changing solar butterfly windchimes from Neporal. Water-resistant and durable, the hanging lights take between five and six hours to fully charge and provide up to ten hours of glow. They would definitely look great around your patio seating, fire pit, or pool. In addition, Neporal’s solar lighting range also includes multi-colored stake-lights and attractive yellow rapeseed flower lights to further illuminate and enhance the whimsical beauty of any outdoor space.

Brightech Ambience Pro Solar Light String

If softly glowing string lights are more what you’re thinking of, Brightech’s Ambience Pro Solar Non-Hanging lights could be what you’re looking for. Featuring a built-in photocell, the lights automatically switch on at dusk. Vintage-style bulbs are strung together, creating a perfect lighting effect for gazebos, trees, and trellises. You could also use them to edge along fences and around swimming pools, and there’s the generous six-foot clearance between the solar panel and the first bulb.

Flamebrite Outdoor Pathway Solar Light

Easy to install with stakes, Flamebrite’s Outdoor Pathway Solar Lights cast a soft glow in any yard. The 8-lumen LEDs don’t provide consistent brightness; they flicker to emulate a burning flame, enabling you to create a cozy outdoor atmosphere. Likewise, the decorative casing further enhances visual appeal, letting your lights truly shine as a striking part of your outdoor decor scheme. When fully charged, the waterproof lights remain illuminated for up to eight hours.

Brightology UltraLuma

Versatile, robust, and attractive, UltraLuma solar lights from Brightology are available in eight cheerful colors. It’s easy to stake into the ground for a stunning disco-like effect alongside paths. In addition, the plastic light head can be removed from the stake to add floating pops of vibrant color. The lights automatically charge during the daytime and power on in the evening for gorgeous outdoor lighting.

Otdair Solar Light Wall Lantern

If you’d prefer to attach your lights to a solid structure, such as a fence, post, or wall, as opposed to staking them in the ground, these Solar Wall Lanterns from Otdair are ideal. With a screw-mounted backplate, the lanterns are great for next to entrances, along your fence, or affixed to trellises. Likewise, they can easily light areas where there’s no sun during the day. The Best Flowers to Plant for Early Spring | Home Tips

Springtime is the best time for planting flowers as the temperatures are getting warmer. Growing the plants early enough ensures they have enough time to bloom and survive even in the fall season. The following are some of the best flowers to plant in early spring:

1. Crocuses

These hardy bulbs are a classic herald of early spring. Crocuses will often pop up when snow is still on the ground. With narrow and grass-like foliage, Crocuses grow rapidly, forming carpets of color over the years and growing even where you did not plant them. Plant your on slightly acidic soil and partly shady areas, but with full sun. Good drainage is also essential for crocuses to bloom. These flowers are available in shades of purple, orange, pink, white, and yellow.

2. Snowdrops

A snowdrop is a very early bloomer that often grows with the hellebore and crocus. Snowdrops have thick, fleshy grass-like leaves and drooping, white, bell-shaped flowers with a splotch of green on the margin that resembles a tiny inverted heart. To grow snowdrops, you require organically rich and well-drained soil. Provide enough sun for the quick blossoming of the flowers. Well-taken care of snowdrops can grow up to 7 inches.

3. Daffodils

These sturdy, trumpet-shaped flowers are best known for their classic bright yellow color. Often interplanted with snowdrops, hyacinths, and tulips, daffodils come in many different varieties. The ideal conditions for planting daffodils are enough sunlight and organically rich soil with a neutral pH and good drainage. The foliage of this sturdy plant consists of narrow and strap-like leaves.

4. Weigela

These deciduous species of plants have pretty pink-and-white trumpeting flowers, which bloom profusely in early spring. They bloom most when exposed to plenty of sunlight, though they can also tolerate partial shade and will rebloom in summer and fall. They look beautiful in a front garden surrounding an entryway or porch.

5. Primroses

These low-care perennials often bloom when snow is on the ground. Primroses appear in early spring in a rainbow of colors, including white, canary yellow, deep purple, and pink.

6. Forsythia

Forsythia is a tall, deciduous shrub with slender, arching branches dotted with bright yellow blossoms. These flowers spring directly from the stems, nodding their star-shaped yellow heads before most other blooms have awakened, and their narrow elliptical leaves sometimes appear before the flowers fall. The leaves may turn bronze during fall. Right after flowering, you need to trim the older flowers to make room for the next year’s budding. Forsythia is attractive for lining fences and walkways, especially with bright bulbs and perennials in the foreground.

7. Tulips

Tulip bulbs are technically a perennial, but they often fade after the first year, so they are treated as annuals and planted every year. Likewise, this means they are ideal for an early spring plant overhaul. Unfortunately, tulips are also prone to attack by rodents, so plant them in pots where rodents cannot dig or layer them underneath less tasty bulbs such as daffodils.

Whether you want to incorporate early spring flowers into existing gardens or give them new spaces of their own, it is good to plant them early enough and under their required growing conditions.

Bad news for fans of Google Chrome on Android. Google announced this week it will soon eliminate the data saver mode feature on Android phone devices. The company is one of the leading firms working on the energy-saving concept of vacuum-sealed tube transports. This comes after Virgin Hyperloop, known prior as Hyperloop One achieved the milestone of the first-ever test run with human passengers. The change to a cargo focused service comes as a result of the company seeing a lack of funding interest. While the company had hoped to see working hyperloops around the world by 2020, no such technology has been unveiled as of yet. In addition, the company also stated the shift to cargo has “more to do with global supply chain issues.”

If you’re in the market for a luxury home in Southern California, it’s important to stay current with the latest in bathroom trends. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at some of the most popular bathroom design trends right now and show you some examples of how they can be used in luxury homes. Whether you’re looking to remodel your current bathroom or are just starting to think about what you want in your dream home, these trends will give you some ideas to get started.

Organic Influence Bathroom Design Trends

The emergence of Organic Influence as one of the luxury bathroom design trends that values natural materials, warm earthy tones, and a plethora of plants as a major topic in home design in 2020 has swiftly become the most popular bathroom style. This influence includes skylights, plants in the bathroom, and lovely earthy hues like green and blue to

Updated Sinks and Touch-less Faucets

In Southern California in 2022, bath and shower faucets are still the most common upgrade, but sinks are on the rise in bathroom trends for the luxury fixtures becoming available. A homeowner may choose to install a touch-less fixture in order to make their area more sanitary.

Modern Styling Bathroom Design Trends

Although most kitchens and bathrooms now have a personalized combination of features, adding a contemporary edge is becoming more popular. A fun, modern pendant light may provide an unexpected touch of energy to your room. Modern vanities with minimal lines offer greater ease of maintenance and an uncluttered look owing to the minimal designs in a more modern style.

Integrated Bathroom Technology

Technology remains popular in bathroom design trends because of comfort and efficiency. Some popular examples include digital wall-mounted interfaces, mobile apps, tech-savvy controls for showers, and heated flooring. Additionally, smart bath ventilation systems, smart scales, and smart mirrors are becoming more popular.

Multipurpose Spaces and Storage

People want their homes to be more functional, so they are changing the layouts of their rooms. One reason for this is that they want more storage space. Over the next three years, many people will have bathrooms with attached dressing areas, closets, and laundry rooms.

Improved Lighting

Another bathroom trend has been upgrading light fixtures to make your bathroom brighter. Gold and black finishes can make your bathroom instantly stylish. In addition, white glass has become common in bathroom light fixtures. This is happening because people are moving away from the popularity of filament bulbs. The smart vanity and mirror trends include LED lighting in most cases.

The Luxury Shower experience

Rainfall showerheads, body sprayers, and mood lighting are all becoming more popular. Rainfall showerheads, handheld showers, and shower seats are being added to the showering experience. These features may be found in luxury showers, but they’re also in line with basic design.
