First Fridays at the Natural History Museum

What: First Fridays are back at the Natural History Museum. Enjoy Dino’s and DJs every month from March through July at this KCRW-presented evening of music. Every month will offer a different lineup of musical guests and DJs, guided tours, and scientist-led talks.

Phyllida Barlow. Glimpse

What: Art fans of Phyllida Barlow can see the British artist’s work on display at Hauser & Wirth’s courtyard now through May. This site-specific monumental installation is part of an indoor-outdoor presentation of new large-scale works from the sculptor.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

The 2022 Ventura Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K will occur on Sunday, February 27, 2022. The marathon and half marathon are point-to-point races, starting in Ojai and ending in downtown Ventura. The marathon begins at 6:30 am.

The Venice Fest

What: Support local businesses in the Mar Vista area while finding something unique for you or your home. This year’s Venice Fest features over 100 vendors and includes artisans, food, and DJs. The event will take over space on Venice Boulevard between Centinela Avenue and Grand View Boulevard. This year’s event will stick with the theme of the week (i.e. Love) offering a Valentine’s-themed fest with dog adoptions and a cocktail garden.

Street Food Cinema Presents ‘LaLaLand’

Where: Santa Monica Airport | Santa Monica 

What: Catch this Feb. 19 showing of the award-winning feature LaLaLand for a music-filled evening under the stars. As with other Street Food Cinema events, there will be food trucks on hand for bites and live pre-show entertainment.

Poussin and the Dance

What: Add some culture to your weekend with a visit to the Getty Center for a display of 17-century French painter Nicolas Poussin’s work. The Exhibit pairs the painter’s portrayals of nymphs and satyrs with contemporary dance films by L.A. choreographers.
